About Amanda McAvena:

Amanda has called Brooklyn home for over a decade living in Williamsburg and settling in Park Slope where she purchased a co-op and serves on the board as the treasurer. Before joining Compass, Amanda spent over 8 years working in the advertising industry on several fortune 100 brands and applies the same strategies and marketing principles to the properties she represents.

Amanda also worked on a top producing team responsible for over $130M in sales. This volume of transactions provided insight across all aspects of the real estate process, from resale to new development sales. Amanda’s eye for value has also made her a sought after resource for many investors who she works with to find under-valued properties that provide high returns.

Originally from Minnesota, Amanda has a true appreciation for Prospect Park and the historic Brownstones in Brooklyn. She is a Trustee of the Civic Council where she co-chairs the annual Food For Thought event to raise money for high school scholarships and is working with the historic district council on a landmarking initiative to preserve historically significant buildings.

Amanda has a passion for the construction and renovating process and has been continually updating her apartment. She loves helping buyers and sellers understand what projects will add the most value to a home and how to transform a space.
