Event Title: Six Degrees Society Digital Members Only: Hungry for More: Stories and Science to Inspire Weight Loss from the Inside Out with Dr. Adrienne Youdim, MD
Our relationsip with food is symbolic of our relationship with ourselves. We are all hungry, hungry for acceptance, hungry for beloning, hungry for self-care, for presence, for meaning. When we answer the call to address our hunger, we can engage in the life-changing work of managing our hunger from within.
How do we care for ourselves? Are we worthy of the time and attention required for that care? What boundaries are necessary to support healthy relationships with others and with ourselves? What true longing is our desire for food signaling?
Our reckoning with food can be a way of opening to these significant questions. And change in our relationship with food can be a spark for broader change, creating a rippling effect to other areas of our lives. In this program, Dr. Adrienne will review 15 years of patient stories, personal stories, medical literature and scientific research to get to the root of what we are hungry for.
